New Finance Funds ($90,000) Available
2012-12-03 The Innovative Business Resource Center (IBRC) has received $90,000 to use in a revolving loan fund to providegap financing for area start-ups and existing businesses with expansion or other improvement projects. The funds became available as a result of a competitive application process by IBRC. Late in October, Network Kansas announced that Northern Montgomery County was named a Network Kansas Entrepreneurial (E-) Community. Seven other communities were designated as new E-Communities in 2012.

Entrepreneur Showcase at Kansas Celebrity Hall of Fame
2012-11-02 The Successful Entrepreneur Program at Independence Community College is hosting an Entrepreneur Showcase on November 15th from 4:30 -6:00 p.m. This event will be an opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs to learn more about opportunities that exist, network with current entrepreneurs, get information from vendors, and get a preview of the Entrepreneurial Mindset class offered at ICC and Coffeyville Community College next semester.


Northern Montgomery Awarded $75,000 in Tax Credits to Create Local Loan Fund for Entrepreneurs
10-29-2012 NetWork Kansas announced today that Northern Montgomery County was selected as a 2012 Entrepreneurship (E-) Community and has been awarded $75,000 in tax credits, enabling the Northern Montgomery County E-Community to raise $100,000 to be loaned to local businesses. Northern Montgomery County joins a group of thirty-seven other E-Communities.


Global Entrepreneurship Week at ICC
10-26-2012 Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is November 12-18, 2012 and the Successful Entrepreneur Program at Independence Community College and the Innovative Business Resource Center (IBRC) are planning special events to observe GEW.
